Exoterra v0.1.6


Exoterra v0.1.6 now available on Patreon. 

Check out the latest updates for this new release:

1. Unreal Engine Update:

  • Updated the project to Unreal Engine 5.4.

2. Open World Map:

  • Expanded the road and merged the existing tracks with the open world map.
  • Note: Existing races will still take place on the old separate maps, as additional work is needed to integrate them properly.
  • Reworked the traffic system to allow traffic to spawn in both directions, change the active spline to follow, and spawn for both the BFRV and Hovercar.
  • Note: Not all roads have traffic yet, and roads with two lanes will only spawn traffic in the center lane.
  • Added tunnels to the road.

3. BFRV:

  • The BFRV now has inflating grooves in the tires when driving off-road.
  • Made the speedometer and boost bar functional with the BFRV.

4. Plug-in Module:

  • Optimized the exterior and added support arms to hold BFRVs in place.
  • Created an interior for a generic Plug-in module that Kaitlin can explore while roaming in the BFRV.

5. Hovercar:

  • Stiffened up the suspension.

6. Kaitlin:

  • Kaitlin will automatically roll if landing from a certain height and will fall as a ragdoll if landing from a higher altitude.
  • Kaitlin's face is now hidden in first-person mode to prevent the camera from clipping through her mouth when looking down.
