Exoterra v0.2.1


I’m releasing this update a bit early, as I’m starting to work on a race manager script that will help add races directly to the open world map. Here’s what’s new in this build for patrons:

Racing Optimization for Low FPS: The racing portion of the game is now optimized to run even at very low frame rates. Additionally, a warning text will display if your FPS drops too low.

Difficulty Settings: You can now adjust the racing difficulty, which controls opponent speed and traffic density to suit your preferred challenge level.

Volume Control: Audio controls have been added with separate sliders, one for music and one for other audio.

Extended Sprint Race Time Limit.

Updated the thruster particles for the hovercar.

Here’s the fun part: While I was preparing for the race manager and testing racer spawn behavior, I thought it would be cool to let the other racers drive among the BFRVs. You can test this feature on the open world map by selecting the hovercar and pressing "0" (the one on the main keyboard, not the numpad). This will spawn the racers and will drive along the road. You can only spawn them once until they reach the end and disappear, then press "0" again to spawn them again.
